Dry coolers (Dry Cooler - dry cooler, or, as it is also called, dry cooling tower) are units designed to cool the coolant at the expense of the environment. They are used in industry for cooling water, which in turn cools various technological equipment. Drycoolers have also found their application in ventilation and air conditioning systems - to release heat from indoor chillers into the environment.

The dry cooler consists of three main elements - a water-air heat exchanger, a fan and a housing, inside which this heat exchanger and a fan are installed. A dry cooler body is often equipped with feet for horizontal installation, or the cooler is installed vertically on brackets without using feet. The heat exchanger cools the coolant. The hot stream enters the inlet of the dry cooler and passes through the coil, which is blown by the outside air. To improve heat transfer, a fan is provided, which makes this airflow forced and more efficient. In addition, ribs are mounted on the coil, through which part of the heat of the coolant is removed. On average, due to the use of ribs, heat removal increases by 30% or more. The cooled coolant leaves the dry cooler and is directed to the chiller or other equipment.
